Applications for this examination should be submitted only through online method
Instructions 10 complete and submit the application are published in the official website of the Department of "Examinations (hllps://doenels.lk) or in the online examination website (hllps://onlineexams.gov.lk/eic) or in the official mobile app ("DoE • mobile app)."
"Applications of private candidates for this examination will be accepted from 01 st August 2022 10 12.00 midnight 11 of 19th August 2022. Each private candidate is advised to read this notification fully and thoroughly understand before filling and submitting The application online through above website. Special atnemion should be paid in accurately entering the selected Town and Subjects of the examination. Candidates are allowed onl)' to ,1pply for maxi mum of 03 main subjec ts. In addition. the applicams can apply for Su bject No.12- Common Gener.11 Test and Subject No.13- General English as applicable."
Applying for the examinat ion should be conducted in two main stages. Stage I- Entering information and receiving the Reference N um ber.
"Enter your personal information. examination information, subject details and paymem method. You should obtain the reference number to make payment lhrough a Post Office."
Stage LI - Payment or exaruiiiatio11 fee and downloacling the application.

Ex. amination fee can be pa id via Post Offices or by any bank c.ird.
02. Applications:
"A printed copy of the application should be obtained after completing and submittin g the applicatio11 online. You should place your signature on the print ed copy and keep it in your possession for fut ure references, if required."
Applying or appear ing as a private candidate by being a stud ent in a government school is entirely proh ibited. Commilling of such offence shall be subjected lo in validating of examination resulls and debarring from silting any future examinations.
2.1 Login into the system - Stage I

iii) After entering and selecting your personal informat ion. 1owJ1 and medium of the exam. you should select the Su bject 10 enter the subjects which you intend to appeM in the examination.
iv) (a) ( 13) General English :
Applicants are allowed 10 apply for General English subject in addition 10 the three main subjects and the Common General Test. Mark s acquiring for General English snbjecl will not considered for selecting 10 universities. However. the gradiilg of this subject will be cited in the G.C.E. (A/ L) certificate.
{b) (12) Common General Test :

(c) Subjects with practica Itests:

appeared for both writlen a nd practical tests. Candidates shou ld appear for the practical test on t he same day given in the admission card. C.1ndida1e s who fail w appear on the given date will not be provided any other date for the practical test. No re-tests will be conducted after completion of the practical tests as scheduled.
"(d) Candidates should select subjects in compli 111ce with the instructions or the Ministry of Education Circular No.2016/ 13 da ted 26.04.2016. Cand idates selecting subject combinat ions non-compliance with standard su bject streams will be identified as "" Non Stream "" candidates and Island Rank and District Rank will not be issued with final resulls of such candidates. Please be noted 1ha1 this Department will not be responsible for the inconveniences caused lO candidates by selecting subject combinations in contrarv to circular instructions."

2.3 A candidate can submi t onl)' one applicat ion. Submission of more than one application by a ltering information will cause the rejection of all applications of t he candidate and legal actions will be taken

03. Payment of Exami nat ion Fee a nd Downloading Application - Stage II
Examination feec1. n be mad e via Post Offices or by bank cards (as Credil(Debil payment) .
"3.1 If you pay via Post Office, you should select the link "" Pay by Postal Department"" under ""Payment Method"". The Reference Number you receive therein should be submitled lo lhe Post Office for paying exam ination fees and the receipt received from the Post Office should be kept in your possession."
After making payment. log-in lo the website o[ the Department of Examinat ions 10 download application.
The application can be downloaded by visiting the website through the link you received
along with the SMS when you made the paymen t successf ully.

required changes 10 the admission card within seven (07) days or receiving by login in 10 the official website or the Depa rtment of Examinat ions.

"Every priv,1teca ndidate should provide their own perma nent address and telephone n umber and should not mention the na me and address or telephon e number of the private or international school where the candidate is receiving educ.11ion ."
07. Verification of identity
II is compulsory 10 provide the National Identity Card or a valid Passport or valid Driving Licence at !he examination hall to prove identity of the candida te.
Candidates who do not possess a National Identity Card should obtain a Nationa l Identity Card by submitling an application without any delay 10 the Comm issioner General of Registration of Persons through Grama N iladhari.
08. All candidates shou ld pay cl ue examination fees except for the candidates appea1ing for t he first and second anempts from Government Schools. Fee levying / Non - Fee Levying Government approved Private Schools and approved Piriven. Applications or the candidates who have no1 paid prescribed fee will be rejected.

Note: Exa min alion fees pa id for thisexamin ation will not be ref unded fully or part ially or transferred 10 any
other examination.
"Cand ida tes who have not appeared even for a part of a paper will only be considered as candidat es not appe<l!""ed for tJ1e exami na tion. Since the examination ,11tempt to enroll in a un iversity for such candidates will nol be cancelled, they are nol requ ired lo provide any medical certificates. Keepin g the admission card of the candidate safely in possession is the only evidence to prove not appearing for any subject of lhe examiilation . It is not required to submit medical certificates or any other requests to this departm ent in that rega1·d."
