The steps to be followed to apply online for National Colleges of Education

Enter the database through the link; ncoe.moe.gov.lk/ncoe

Read and understand the particulars mentioned as ‘notice, click on the first box and click on“Agree” icon

All applicants applying on the basis of the results of G.C.E. (A/L) 2019 and 2020 should click on “G.C.E.

(A/L) year 2019/2020” given under Create a New Application, and the clergy applicants applying on the results

of the previous year should click on “G.C.E. (A/L) year 2018 or Previous Years”

Select the year of sitting for the Advanced Level Examination and whether the applicant sat for the examination

under the new syllabus or under the old syllabus, and enter the Index Number correctly. (Please check if the

exam result displayed is correct)

The lay applicants should click on ‘Check G.C.E. On (O/L) Examination Result’ and the clergy applicants

should click on ‘Check Mulika Piriven Examination Result ‘

Select the attempt (as 1, 2, 3) sat for the G.C.E (Ordinary Level) Examination and the year of sitting for the

exam. Enter the Index Number correctly and click on ‘Next ‘if the exam result that appears after a while is

correct.

Carefully read the paragraph 6.3 of the Gazette Notification and click on "Yes" compulsorily if you are

applying for Sripada National College of Education.

Enter the courses you wish to apply for as per the order of your preference (Maximum 03 courses.)

Enter the basic information correctly and click on ‘Next’ (In order to enter the District, please read the

paragraph 6.2 of the Gazette Notification carefully)

The application can be reviewed by clicking on ‘Review application’. Also, the courses applied for can be

revised through ‘Review course selection’. Only if all the details are correct, click on ‘submit application’

Your application will therein be appeared as a pdf copy. Keep a hard copy of it to present at the interview.

Special Instructions

01. If you apply for National Colleges of Education in both the years 2019 and 2020, you should

submit separate applications for the two years.
