INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

The Department of Examination

procurement of selection of a service provider for scanning imaging and indexing of examination results sheets of department of examinations

contract no 4/7/2018/2

1.The chairman, Department procurement committee on behalf of the commissioner genera of examinations, invites sealed bids for a service provider for scanning imaging and indexing of examination results sheets of department of examinations from eligible and qualified bidders possessing minimum aid down experience. Compete details are included in the bidding document.

2.Bidding will be conducted following the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) Procedure.

3.To be eligible for contract awar, the successful bidder shall not, have been blacklisted and should have five years’ experiences.

4.Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the supply Division, 03rd Floor, Department of Examination (Teephone: 01-2786200 or 011- 2785219) and inspect the bidding documents free of charge from 09.00 a. to 03.00 p.m on working days until 16.05.2019.

5. A complete set of bidding Documents may be purchased by intereste dodders from the Supply Division upon submission of a written application with business registration letter’s copy on or before 3.00 p.m. , 16.05.2019 and upon payment of a non- refundable fee of Rs. 12’500/= for each document(The payment method will be by cash).

6.A pre- bid meeting will be held on 06.05.2019 at 10.30 a.m. at Department of Examinations Sri Lanka,pelawatta, Battaraqmulla.

7.Bids shal be valid up to 90 days from the date of bid opening.

8.llbids shall be accompanied by a bid security of Sri Lanka Rupees six lakhs(LKR 600,000.00) unconditional bank guarantee from a reputed commercial ban operating in Sri Lanka on the format attached to the bidding document and should be valid up to 120 days from the date of submission of the bid.

9.Bids must be delivered to the supply Divission,03rd Floor, Department of Examinations, Pelawatta, Battaramula on or before 17.05.2019 at 2.30 p.m. ate bids will be returned unopened. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representative who choose to attend in person at the address given above after closing of bids.

10.Duly filled and sealed BBids marked “Procurement for Scanning Imaging and Indexing of Examination Result Sheets of Department of Examition, Conreact No:4/7/2018/2 on top left- hand corner of the envelope should be submitted.

11. The Department Procurement Committee reserves the right to accept’or reject any bid and reject al bids at any time prior to award of contract, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected Bidder or Bidders or any obligation to infrom the affected Bidder or Bidders of the grounds for the Department Procurement Committee’s action.
